How To Soften Cream Cheese In The Microwave

  • Unwrap the cream cheese: Unwrap the cream cheese. Place it on a microwave-safe plate only one block at a time.
  • Microwave for 15 seconds: Set the timer for fifteen seconds and start the microwave.
  • Add time if needed: If the cream cheese is not fully softened, microwave again for 8 seconds. If it's microwaved any longer, it will melt too much!

How To Soften Cream Cheese With Warm Water (No Microwave)

  • Prepare a bowl: Add warm, not hot, water to a large bowl enough to fit the cream cheese.
  • Add the cream cheese: Keep it wrapped in the wrapper and place it in the bowl for 10 minutes.
