The Best Edible Sugar Cookie Dough

This edible sugar cookie dough is the best recipe for safe to eat cookie dough. It's made using heat treated flour and doesn't contain any eggs! It is a super delicious, no bake recipe with a sweet and buttery taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour, heat treated, see recipe notes
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup jimmie sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the 1 1/4 cup flour in an even layer and bake for 5 minutes then cool.
  • In the bowl of a hand or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the 1/2 cup butter with the 1/4 cup confectioners sugar and 1/4 cup granulated sugar until its light and fluffy about 1 minute.
  • Add in the 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and the 1 tbsp milk and mix lightly. Add in the 1 1/4 heat treated flour, 1/8 tsp salt, and the sprinkles. Mix, scoop, and serve!

Notes

You must heat treat the flour to make this safe to eat.
You can add any other toppings in! 
No you cannot bake this dough into cookies because there are no eggs or leavening agents.
