This quick pineapple buttercream frosting is a fun homemade frosting recipe for cupcakes, cakes & tropical desserts!

Pineapple Frosting Ingredients

-unsalted butter -powdered sugar -pineapple extract -pineapple juice (or cream/milk) -kosher salt

Soften butter on the counter ahead of time.


Cream butter and confectioners' sugar with a hand or stand mixer for 2-3 minutes.


Mix in pineapple extract, pineapple juice (or cream) & salt until fluffy.


Use a piping bag to frost cupcakes or an offset spatula to spread on cakes.
