Easy Brown Sugar Glaze For Cake

Try this Easy Brown Sugar Glaze if you're looking for a simple and delicious way to take your cake to the next level! With just four ingredients and a few easy steps, you can create a decadent topping that adds a rich brown sugar sweetness to any baked dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, sub light brown
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream

Instructions
 

  • Add 1/4 cup butter to a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • When melted add in the 1/2 cup brown sugar, and stir until melted. Make sure the brown sugar is melted before continuing or it can make the glaze grainy.
  • Add in the 1 cup powdered sugar and take off the heat.
  • Glaze ingredients mixed together in a sauce pan.
    Add in 2 tbsp cream and whisk to create a thick glaze.
  • Gingerbread biscotti drizzled with brown sugar glaze on a wire rack.
    Immediately pour over cake or cookies like gingerbread biscotti cookies.

Notes

This glaze hardens quickly, so only make it if you are ready to pour it over the cake. The cake should be cool before glazing. This glaze is especially delicious over gingerbread biscotti or a carrot bundt cake.
