Cookie Dough Stuffed Cupcakes

These homemade cookie dough stuffed cupcakes are fluffy and frosted with cookie dough buttercream. Tasty and fun to make!

Cookie Dough Cupcake Ingredients

Heat-treat flour by spreading it on a sheet pan and baking it 5 minutes in the oven. Let cool.


Combine cookie dough ingredients in a stand mixer & cream until fluffy. Stir in heat-treated flour & mini chocolate chips. Chill 20 mins in fridge.


In a separate bowl, whisk cake flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Separately, cream butter and sugar with a mixer.


While mixing, add eggs, egg whites & vanilla extract. Alternate pouring in dry mixture & buttermilk.


Stir in chocolate chips. Fill cupcake liners 1/2 full. Roll prepared cookie dough into small balls.


Drop dough balls in batter, then fill with more batter 3/4 full. Bake until fluffy (18-19 mins) & let cool.


With a mixer, beat cookie dough frosting ingredients until smooth & fluffy.


Frost cupcakes & enjoy!
