Bourbon Caramel Sauce

This decadent caramel sauce recipe is spiked with bourbon & can be made in under 30 minutes! Drizzle on cakes, brownies, fruit, etc.

Homemade Caramel Sauce Ingredients

Heat sugar & water over medium heat in a light-colored, heavy-bottomed saucepan.


Stir continuously as bubbles start to form.


The mixture will start to form clumps. Keep stirring until clumps break down & mixture is an amber color.


Turn heat to low. Slowly add chunks of butter. Stir vigorously until combined. Stir in cream.


Allow caramel to cool slightly. Pour into a glass container or mason jar & store in the fridge.
