This homemade vanilla cake recipe with sprinkles is better than your favorite funfetti cake mix! A perfect confetti cake for parties!

Confetti Cake Ingredients

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl or stand mixer.

Separately, cream butter & sugar. Mix in eggs, egg whites & vanilla extract.

Add in 1/3 of the dry ingredients, then 1/2 the buttermilk. Continue, alternating, until fully combined. Fold in sprinkles.

Evenly divide batter between cake pans & bake until set. Let cool & level off with a serrated knife.

Mix together vanilla buttercream frosting. Stir in sprinkles.

Frost cake. Add sprinkles right away, lightly pressing them in with your palms.
