These easy vanilla and chocolate cupcakes are made with one batter! This is a fun marble cupcake recipe for any occasion.

Marble Cupcake Ingredients

Cream butter & sugar. Mix in eggs & vanilla extract.

Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Alternate adding dry mixture & buttermilk to batter.

Separate 1 cup of batter. Mix in cocoa powder & 2 tsp buttermilk.

In a muffin tin, fill cupcake liners 1/2 full with vanilla batter. Add 1/2 tbsp chocolate batter to each.

Swirl batter with a toothpick or thin knife. Bake, then let cool.

If desired, make chocolate buttercream. Separately, make vanilla buttercream.

Fill piping bag with vanilla frosting on one side & chocolate frosting on the other. Frost cupcakes.
