Frosted Nutella Cupcakes

Thick Nutella Frosting (You Can Pipe!)

You can create a smooth, creamy Nutella Frosting with just 4 ingredients and 5 minutes! It is perfect for piping onto Nutella cupcakes, chocolate cakes, and more! The rich and nutty flavor of Nutella is a must-try for any lover of rich chocolate and a distinct hazelnut flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar, 420g
  • ½ cup Nutella
  • 2 tsp milk, or cream

Instructions
 

  • In the bowl of an electric mixer combine the 1 cup unsalted butter with 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar.
  • Cream on low for 1 minute, and move up to medium when it’s more combined.
  • Add in ½ cup nutella and 2 tsp milk or cream and whip on medium- high speed for 1-2 minutes.
  • Fit a piping bag with an open star tip and fill it with frosting.
  • Pipe the frosting over the cupcakes and top with nuts, or shaved chocolate.
