2 Minute Easy Coffee Glaze

Believe me when I say you can make this coffee glaze in 2 minutes or less! All you need is instant coffee (cold brew works too), hot water, and powdered sugar. Whisk it up in a small bowl and you are ready to drizzle it over desserts like mini bundt cakes, or coffee cupcakes. It literally doesn't get easier than this to add coffee flavor to any of your favorite desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp espresso powder, (optional)

Instructions

  • In a very small bowl or cup combine the 1 tsp instant coffee and 2 tbsp hot water.
  • Mix to dissolve the coffee granules and set aside to cool for 2 minutes.
  • In another small bowl add the 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar.
  • Add the coffee to the powdered sugar and whisk until smooth.
  • For extra flavor, add in ¼ tsp espresso powder.
  • Drizzle immediately over cakes. The icing will harden quickly.

Notes

  • If the glaze is too thick, add a little more coffee- 1/2 tbsp. If its too thin add 1/4 cup more powdered sugar.
  •
  • Make sure to make this frosting right before drizzling over the cake. It does not store well as it will harden quickly!
